On 23 March 2023, Major General Andreas Schick, Commander EATC, warmly welcomed the Luxembourg Minister of Defence François Bausch, and the Chief of Defence, General Steve Thull.
The Minister of Defence confirmed his firm conviction that pooling and sharing through EATC offers effective and efficient operational opportunities to Luxembourg, as well as to the partner nations. The guests were in particular interested in the latest discussions on EATC’s role in support of crisis situations and the cooperation with international organisations, such as NATO and the EU.
The Commander EATC presented a brief outline of EATC’s business model, concluding with Luxembourg’s steadily increasing contribution to EATC’s portfolio. He then offered a guided tour through the headquarters, where the guests had an insight into EATC’s operational and functional business. They also visited the mission control center, that monitors EATC’s flight activities on a 24/7 basis.
