The European Air Transport Command (EATC) was proud to support its host, Eindhoven Air Base, during a two-day program of engagement and outreach on 12 and 13 September 2025. The events — Stakeholder Day on Friday and Neighbours’ Day on Saturday — were held in the framework of the international exercise Falcon Leap. Together, they offered a platform to connect with business associates, local companies, key partners, and the wider community, while showcasing the essential role of air mobility in both national and international security.
A platform for collaboration
Stakeholder Day focused on strengthening ties with partners and underlined the importance of working together in today’s security environment. Guests explored departmental stands and took part in discussions on the upcoming Falcon Leap exercise. A highlight of the day was the “Mini Airport Roadshow,” featuring a presentation by Colonel Jorrit de Gruijter, Commander of Air Mobility Command, a flight line visit, and an overview of the air base’s mission and future direction.
Opening the gates
On Saturday, the base opened its doors to the wider public for Neighbours’ Day. Around 1200 visitors from the region were able to look behind the scenes of the Royal Netherlands Air Force’s transport unit. The program included equipment displays, interactive stands, and opportunities such as a guided tour of an A330 MRTT and a cockpit session in an F-16 mock-up. The event created a festive atmosphere and reinforced the strong bond between the military and its community.
Proud to support
For EATC, these two days were more than a showcase — they were an opportunity to highlight its multinational mission, foster dialogue with stakeholders, and reaffirm its commitment to cooperation and transparency. By supporting Eindhoven Air Base in participating in both events, EATC underlined the importance of working hand in hand with partners and neighbours alike.
