On 01 February 2024, EATC welcome the new Deputy Commander, Spanish Major General José Luis Ortiz-Cañavate Levenfeld, who took over from Belgian Brigadier General Patrick Mollet.
Major General Ortiz is an expert fighter pilot with more than 2.800 flying hours and with an important knowledge of the Air Mobility domain thanks to his previous position as Commander of the Spanish Air Mobility Command in Zaragoza.
Major General Ortiz-Cañavate Levenfeld is “proud to be here at EATC as Deputy Commander and Director of Operations. One of my priorities will be to assist the Commander EATC to define EATC’s role for the future. I am looking forward to taking up the challenges that this new appointment will offer me.”
Brigadier General Mollet left EATC after more than seven years. “It has been a wonderful period, leading all divisions successively and finally ending my tour in the Command Group as DCOM. I have seen a tremendous amount of projects and activities being realised in those 7,5 years. EATC is really adding value to air mobility in our nations.”
