On 22 February 2024, the North Atlantic Council participated to an A330 MRTT AAR training flight planned and commanded by EATC.
Major General Franck Mollard, EATC Commander, joined the ambassadors and the Commander MMU on the flight. General Mollard outlined the key features of EATC’s business model and the cooperation with NATO. “For two years, EATC has been supporting its member nations in their efforts on the Eastern flank. 10% of our flying hours were dedicated to these efforts, including air-to-air refuelling. The numbers confirm our commitment: we refuelled 1750 receivers offloading 8000 tons of fuel.”
Major General Mollard congratulated on the excellent relationship between EATC and NATO and concludes that “if one or more EATC member nations request EATC to support NATO in any operations, EATC stands ready to do so”.
