The Air Transport Wing 61 in Bavarian Landsberg/Penzing is the oldest wing of the German Air Force, equipped with Transall aircraft that were designed originally for the cold war.
But today one would be surprised to find out, what the wing is capable of instead: Acting world wide not only to fly daily assets for the European Air Transport Command, but also intergral part at several international missions: As reliable provider to land on nearly any airstrip abroad.
