German aeromedical missions to relocate Covid intensive care patients

On Wednesday, 01 December 2021, EATC planned, coordinated and commanded, on behalf of the German Air Force, an aeromedical mission relocating six COVID patients from Dresden to Cologne. This was the third mission, being conducted as part of the operation “Kleeblatt (clover leaf)” covering all intra-Germany COVID patient related relocation missions – both ground and air. A fourth intra-German mission from Memmingen to Paderborn is executed today on 03 December.

In his interview on 01 December, Major General Schick, Commander EATC, highlighted that "EATC’s Aeromedical Evacuation Control Centre's multinational team of flight surgeons and flight nurses are in direct contact with the Patient Evacuation Coordination Center of the Bundeswehr Medical Service in Koblenz, as well as with the doctors involved directly in the relocation mission.” EATC’s international experts of the aeromedical center and in the mission control center are available 24/7 and always ready to response to the member nations' requirements.

General Schick concludes that “EATC is proud to be able to make a contribution in this national crisis situation. We wish all patients a good and fast recovery".
