Last week in Seville the aircraft MSN018 accomplished successfully its maiden flight: The first German A400M operated nearly five hours over the Mediterranean Sea.
Technicians of the respective Federal Office for equipment, information technology and utilization of the German Armed Forces (BAAINBw) will soon take over the aircraft for further testing before it will be inspected from the appropriate authority. The aircraft as well as a total of following 40 "Atlas" will then be taken over by the German Air Force, stationed then at Air Transport Wing 62 (Hannover-Wunstorf) - and fulfilling its missions on EATC OPCON.
