EATC’s Lighthouse Project: interoperability in ground-handling

For years, interoperability within the ground-handling domain has been on EATC’s agenda and EATC’s Lighthouse Project offers another set of stimulating and challenging common activities in this domain.

EATC’s experts have set the LHP training orders according to standards defined by the EGOM. From 06 to 16 June, ground handling technicians from EATC member nations but also from Lithuania jointly train step-by-step, practicing supporting activities, from loading cargo to the boarding of paratroopers.

Graduated Adjutant Marco, one of the trainees and ground handling operator of the Italian Air Force, stated that “I test my skills with colleagues from other nations, exchange ideas and best practices. And in the evening we have a drink together reviewing the great training day we have just had. The cross ground-handling pillar is for sure one of the trademark of EATC’s LHP. I am looking forward to the future developments in the multinational air terminal operations and LHP. Thank you EATC for all these opportunities you offer to us!”
