EATC Hosts Manfred-Wörner-Seminar Delegation

On 24 June 2025, the European Air Transport Command (EATC) was pleased to welcome participants of the Manfred-Wörner-Seminar as part of their twelve-day study programme focused on transatlantic security and cooperation.

Comprising future leaders from diverse political, academic, and professional backgrounds, the delegation visited EATC to gain insights into its multinational command structure and its pivotal role in European air mobility. The visit underscored the importance of international collaboration, interoperability, and integrated planning in supporting both national and NATO-led operations.

The Manfred-Wörner-Seminar — named in honour of the former NATO Secretary General — aims to build lasting networks across borders and deepen participants’ appreciation of the security frameworks that uphold peace and stability in Europe and beyond. In the current geopolitical context, marked by complex challenges to international order, such exchanges are more vital than ever.

EATC is proud to contribute to this important initiative and remains committed to supporting cross-border dialogue, leadership development, and the strengthening of Europe’s collective security architecture. As EATC’s Chief of Staff stated during the visit: "I am glad you took the opportunity to visit the EATC. You might be surprised by the capabilities we have reached in the last 15 years." Such exchanges contribute to stronger alliances, mutual understanding, and improved readiness across the transatlantic community.

The command extends its thanks to all participants and organisers of the seminar and looks forward to continued engagement in the future.
