EATC assists deployment to Mali

A Belgian C-130 Hercules transport aircraft delivered last week material for a Dutch as well as a Belgian detachment into Mali. While the Dutch army is about to build up a camp near the town of Gao (North East of Mali), Belgian Forces also requested supply at their logistic detachment near the capital Bamako (South West of Mali).
While both missions appeared  to be not efficient individually, the combination of one asset for two users became an optimal solution – recommended, planned and conducted by the EATC, which chose a Belgian Hercules to execute the combined mission - a good example for the Pooling and Sharing of aircraft’s assets.
