EART 2024: 9 days of training, 56 sorties, ...

... 5 tankers and 1480 tons of fuel transferred. From 8th until 17th of July the 10th edition of the European Air Refuelling Training (EART) was conducted at Joint Base Elmendorf  Richardson.

Under the supervision of EATC and a multinational team of mentors from France and Australia, basic and advanced training objectives were met.

Additionally, this year's EART provided a valuable opportunity to enhance cross-maintenance under the umbrella of the Light House Project and to improve cross-ground handling capabilities (CATO) based on the EATC Ground Operations Manual.

Lieutenant Colonel Arnaud Viltart, EART Director and EATC's Head training thanks the organizers of the multinational fighter exercise “Arctic Defender” for the opportunity to train together in a challenging scenario and in a vast training area.

“Tanker crews require specific tactical training to fulfil their role in the air war.  EART allows both tanker and fighter pilots to learn and train how to interact together in a high density and realistic scenario.  Thus our EART training fosters interoperability and sharpens the skills of our crews, and ensures the success of our nations’ future common operations.”
