This weekend, EATC’s Mission Control demonstrated efficiency, excellency and perfect teamwork during an unplanned circumstance!
Luxembourg had a mission planned for Sunday 16 April to transport 28 passengers to the NATO cyber defense exercise Locked Shields, taking place in Riga (Latvia). A day prior to the departure, the dedicated asset broke down and a solution had to be found urgently.
Mission Control did not lose a second to look for and identify a solution: a French A400M executing a mission to Great-Britain could fly a diversion to Luxembourg, picking up the passengers and fly them to Latvia. A major diversion, but an excellent alternative to accommodate the Luxembourg needs. 24 hours left to coordinate with the French and Luxembourg authorities, plan the new mission and task the French A400M unit!
Congratulations to the Mission Control team for the commitment and professionalism. And thank you to France for the flexibility and cooperation. The Luxembourg delegation arrived as planned in Latvia and is now looking forward to participating to Locked Shields 2023.
