From 26 to 28 April 2022, the Commander EATC, Major General Andreas Schick, participated in the ARSAG* Conference which was held this year in San Diego (USA).

Major General Schick delivered a speech introducing EATC as a recognized centre of expertise for Air Mobility. “We proved to be up to lead the build-up of a European AAR capability”, he states. “We standardise AAR procedures through commonly agreed documentation and evaluate through multinational trainings. Since 2014, EATC has organised the only dedicated AAR training in Europe, EART.”

The Commander also introduced EATC’s newly published “Trail Missions Handbook”. This manual aims to harmonise processes and documents amongst EATC member nations, in order to improve interoperability of AAR trail missions for the A400M, KC-767 and A330 MRTT.

Major General Schick ended his speech stating that “we explore new opportunities to step up effectiveness, efficiency, and interoperability. We picked up the speed to intensify the collaborative efforts with partners and to coordinate support given to our nations, in particular in times of crisis and the  war raging in Ukraine.
