On 04 December 2019, Major General Laurent Marboeuf, Commander of EATC, warmly welcomed Major General Domenico Abbenante, the Chief of the Italian Air Force Medical Service. The visit included a presentation on EATC’s achievements of the past years followed by an outline on the outlook into the future with a special highlight on the Italian contribution.
The delegation visited also the Aeromedical Evacuation Control Centre (AECC), where EATC’s worldwide aeromedical evacuation missions are coordinated and planned. The AECC outlined how its aeromedical expertise can improve and successfully support the Italian patient movement process. General Abbenante confirmed that the multinational collaboration between the Italian Patient Evacuation Coordination Centre and EATC’s AECC is well established.
