EATC Hosts Advanced Combined Air Terminal Training – Second Edition

From 4 to 15 November 2024, the European Air Transport Command (EATC) conducted the second session of its Advanced Combined Air Terminal Training (ACATT). Held at the Air Movement Training Centre in Altenstadt, Germany, the course brings together 18 seasoned trainees from 9 European nations (Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, The Netherlands, Spain, Austria, Bulgaria and Lithuania) to train within a multinational framework.

The participants, all experienced ground handlers, are honing their skills while working towards greater harmonization and standardization of ground handling operations. The training is facilitated by 10 expert instructors from EATC’s member nations  delivering a blend of academic theory and on-the-job training. This comprehensive approach ensures trainees are well-prepared to take on roles as team leaders or chiefs of section in multinational ground handling facilities.

Comprehensive Training Program

The ACATT program is designed to enhance participants’ expertise in ground handling and air terminal operations, offering both theoretical and practical modules. The curriculum is aligned with the EATC Ground Operations Manual (EGOM), ensuring standardization across all member nations.

The course is open to participants from EATC member nations and selected invitees, and is aimed at experienced non-commissioned officers (NCOs) and junior officers ready to take on advanced responsibilities.
