In the wake of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, EATC has put into place a dedicated crisis response cell. This cell is the primary operational entry point for national air forces, movement control centres and air to air refuelling cells. EATC and the national partners work together through direct lines of communication, indispensable when responding to sensitive and urgent operational requirements.
The crisis response cell also works hand in hand with EATC’s 24/7 mission control centre. They all ensure that the time critical missions resulting from the conflict are guaranteed at all moment, while any routine missions are executed in the usual professional manner. During the first three weeks of the conflict, EATC operated 200 air-to air refuelling and transport missions to the Eastern flank.
The crisis response cell also facilitates a continuous exchange of information and experience with the national partners. The member nations can rely at all moment on EATC’s air mobility expertise and professionalism to support them in times of conflicts.
