EATT on track

Today started the European Air Transport Training 2013 (EATT 2013) in Zaragoza, Spain. It is the second air transport dedicated multinational training period of this kind.
Eight nations are participating with a total of more than 400 soldiers, 13 aircraft (11 flying & two spare aircraft) with 22 aircrews – not to tell the numerous representatives of observer nations.

During the first day, the participants were introduced into the exercise procedures and were able to gain during syndicates further impression of their dedicated tasks, such as aeromedic, maintenance, intelligence and tacticals.

EATT 2013 is aiming at enhancing interoperability between tactical airlift users in the area of operations and training by starting to work out standardized procedures. The first day contained nine hours of tactical oriented academics in syndicates to develop synergies in the air transport domain.
Tomorrow, the real tactical scenario will start, allowing the participants to get familiar with the exercise terrain, while the EATC-team in Zaragoza assists effectively in every domain of the exercise.

 

On upcoming Wednesday a DV-day is arranged, where several airchiefs of the EATT participating air forces are expected - together with EDA representatives and the Commander of the EATC, Major General Pascal Valentin.
